Definitions- simple explinations of terms commonly used in relation to lyme disease

Co-infection- almost like a secondary infection/disease, additional bacteria or parasite from tick bite causing complications to lyme treatment and additional symptoms
HBOT- Hyber Baric Oxygen Therapy- used in the treatment of lyme
Herx/Herxing- short for "herxheimer" reaction which is the addition of or increase in symptoms in response to supplements or medications killing off the bacteria faster than your body can eliminate it
Infared sauna- sauna using infared heat, lower temperature heating from inside out, great for detox
LLND- lyme literate naturopathic doctor(md-med doc)
MLD- manual lymph drainage, type of gentle massage used to help flush toxins from lymphatic system, helpful in detox
PC- primary care doc
Spirochete- spiral shaped bacteria that cuase lyme disease, their shape allows them to drill into tissue and organs in your body
